Here's the view we had while we rested during our hike around Lighthouse Park. We sat and read our books while the dog nearly fell off the cliff. It was chilly but warm in the sun while we sat. I could have stayed there for hours reading, but with a restless 12 year-old and a rambunctious doggy, we only managed to stay still for half an hour. I made the mistake of not paying attention to the names of the trails. While choosing between Arbutus and Summit, I chose Summit without even thinking that there might be a climb involved. That'll teach me to pay attention.
